DCCG Adult Easter Egg Hunt 2023

Hippity hoppity, the DeKalb County Community Garden’s fifth annual Adult 18+ Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt event sponsored by Jonamac Orchard and Cresswood Shredding Machinery is back!

We are bouncing like bunnies with glee that this year’s egg hunt egg-stravaganza will once again be at Jonamac Orchard (19412 Shabbona Road, Malta). More Easter eggs than ever (5,000) will be hidden on Jonamac’s 12-acre parcel for adults 18+ to find after the sun goes down on Friday, March 31, 2023.

Starting at 6:30 pm on the day of this event, Jonamac Orchard’s Cider House will be open for adults 21 years or older to purchase and enjoy their wonderful selection of apple wines & hard ciders as well as a selection of non-alcoholic beverages and Hick’s BBQ food truck will be offering tasty treats for purchase. You can also pre order one dozen homemade fresh apple cider donuts to enjoy while you wait!

Are you looking for some extra fun before the main attraction?! Ten groups of five special ticket holders will have the chance to Dig for the Golden Egg in Jonamac’s Corn Crib Play Area! Starting at 7 pm, dig through heaps of corn to find a special $100 cash prize!

This year, we will also be offering a non-competitive zone for walking only. So, if you’re wanting some egg hunting fun without the running and jumping, we have you covered!
