Cider House Our Orchard Corn Maze/Haunt
COVID-19

Our Store & Bakery and Cider House will be opening for the 2020 Season on August 19th.  Our family is taking this time to ensure we are following all state and local guidelines to best protect our staff and guests amidst concerns of COVID-19.

FAQs

Is your apple cider pasteurized?

Our cider is UV processed by FDA certified equipment. This means that harmful pathogens in the cider are eliminated through ultraviolet light instead of by heat. We feel that this process retains the fresh flavor of our cider.

Can cider be frozen?

Yes, cider can be frozen. Just remove about a cup to allow for expansion room and freeze. Use within 1 year.

How should apples be stored?

To preserve the quality of your apples once you take them home, you should refrigerate them in the plastic bag. Elimination of exposure to oxygen and heat will give your apples the longest shelf life. Varieties vary in shelf life and because our apples are picked at their peak of freshness, they should be used as soon as possible.

What apples would you recommend for pies?

Please see our Apple Varieties page for more information.  Any of our apples marked “baking” will do, and the more varieties you put in your pie, the more complex the flavor!

Can we bring our pets to the orchard?

We only allow registered service animals on the farm, with the exception of our Howl-O-Ween-Weekend!  The last weekend in October, we allow well behaved leashed dogs to come with their families, walk through the orchard, and go through the daytime corn maze.  Check our calendar for more details!

How long will it take me to go through the maze?

The maze has 3 miles of pathways. The average person will take between 45 – 60 minutes.

How scary is the haunted corn maze?

We design the haunting each year to give you a good experience. While we hope that you have a number of good scares, our intent is not to overly frighten you. We, however, do not allow unaccompanied children under the age of 12.

What activities are available in November?

The outdoor activities close for the season the last weekend of October.  The Store and Bakery is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in November, but is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00AM – 5:00PM until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.  Apple picking will continue until quantities are unavailable or until we receive a hard freeze.

Our Cider House is also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays in November, but is open Wednesday through Friday from 11:00AM – 5:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00AM – 5:00PM.  Like us on Facebook to find out about special events on our farm and in the Cider House in the off season!
