Apples can be sampled in our store or at the apple picking building on weekends.
Apples ripen at different times, and we will mark apples that are available for picking with one of our “apple picking flags” so you know where to go! You can also check our apple varieties page for more information on specific varieties.
Strollers are permitted, but will be checked by staff upon exit.
There is grass between tree rows, so paths are not often muddy.
Guests can pick in the rain, but it is not safe if there is lightning.
Pets are not permitted in the orchard due to food safety laws.
Apples ripen 6-10 times faster if stored at room temperature. So keep your fruit refrigerated and separate from other fruit and veggies to keep them fresh!
This late season variety gained popularity for its very firm tart flesh that sweetens over time. They store well and have a beautiful coloring, a great apple for snacking and baking.

America’s favorite snacking apple due to the exceptionally crisp and juicy texture as well as a complex flavor that is both tart and honey-sweet. It has a beautiful reddish-pink and gold color and is the most popular apple at Jonamac. **We do not allow u-pick on this variety**
Northern Spy

Also known as the “Northern Pie Apple”, Northern Spy is a late season tart apple that is perfect for baking pies. They are a large flatter shaped green apple with a slight red blush. If you’re a fan of Granny Smith, you should definitely give this crisp tart apple a try.

A brand new apple in our orchard that has not yet been officially named! It was developed to have the same crunch as Honeycrisp but a different flavor. They are a large crisp reddish apple with striped skin and a juicy tart flavor. Formerly known as DS3 and DS41, they finally have been named!
Pink Lady
